As an Azure Support Engineer you will administer, monitor, and provide maintenance to cloud-based systems, to include O365 and/or Azure. You will ensure that our systems are available, secure, and have documented and supported policies, procedures, and guidelines. Are you ready for these challenges? Let's see what it takes:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field required; or 3 years of equivalent work experience;
- 5+ years hands-on experience administering Azure environments;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure operations and technologies;
- Knowledge of IT operations and basic methodologies;
- Experience documenting environments, process, standards;
- Ability to assess existing architectures and situations and make recommendations;
- Strong ability to cultivate relationships with clients to develop and share understanding of technology solutions;
- Presentation and articulation of technical content aligning to audience;
- Ability to take projects and execute deliverables with limited support;
- Appropriate certifications in Azure and associated Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the highest level of operational standards for cloud technologies while executing best practices in operations and ongoing maintenance;
- Maintaining plans and procedures for administration of the cloud based and on-prem systems;
- Maintaining O365 environment to include Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive;
- Responding to escalated tickets from the Service Desk that require Cloud support and follow appropriate ticketing procedures.
- Responding to escalated system alerts to include but not limited to: Azure VM health, recovery services vaults, storage health, azure virtual desktop instances, etc.,
- Assisting in management and deployment of end user and server patches and updates, including research of operational effects of the same prior to deployment;
- Assisting with data center operations, procedures and control mechanisms, documenting key controls such as physical and remote access;
- Assisting with cloud security needs as requested by security team;
- Assisting with the documentation of all system processes and procedures to ensure standardization, and best practices;
- Assisting with the build and maintenance of servers in the cloud environment.
